I was instantly amazed at the opportunities that PRSSA opens up for students– so I showed up at the next general meeting. Not knowing much about the club, it was incredible to learn so much right off the bat. I quickly became a dues paying member and have already begun networking, building my resume, and gaining professional experience. I wanted to have something to guide me into the professional world, and PRSSA has given me many peer mentors and tools to do so!

When I chose my major I didn’t have a true sense of what career path I was going down. By joining, I have developed many essential skills, making me glad I chose public relations. I knew it was something for me. I attended the first meeting I could and kept going back. I would learn something new after every single meeting. I came into college saying I wanted to do public relations but had no real sense of what it was. I have not only learned about public relations in depth, but also about the many other related career paths. I feel ahead of most people my age because of the professional skills I have learned over the years from PRSSA.
