Skill Slams: Our Director of Internal Recruitment takes members through a presentation on improving an industry-sought skill. Past ones have included WordPress, Google Analytics, and Social Media Marketing.

Leadership Opportunities: Join our executive board or get involved with a committee

Public PRactice: Outreach Committee: Under the guidance of our Director of Internal Professional Development, this is a hands-on experience for official members to work in our student-run “firm.” This is essentially an unpaid internship to work with a variety of small business clients. No previous experience is needed.

Communication Committee: Work with our Promotions Director to ontribute to the PRSSA Blog by writing 1-2 pages about trends in Public Relations, internship experiences, interview tips and skills, general meeting or skill slam recaps. Minimal commitment with previous writing skills as a plus, not a requirement. Offers great writing practice, writing samples, resume boost, and involvement!

Mentor-Mentee Program: Get paired with a PR professional who can give advice on your future career!

DEI Education: Workshops and discussions on current events and important topics future PR professionals should know about.

Pitch+: Work with our VP of External Affairs, to have a mock interview, resume help, cover letter overview, Linkedin set up, etc.
